Leiden University’s Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs (FGGA) is one of seven faculties of Leiden University. FGGA is an internationally acclaimed knowledge centre based in the heart of city of The Hague, that approaches Global Challenges from a political, sociological, economic and public affairs viewpoint.
The Institute of Security and Global Affairs (ISGA), one of the three scientific institutes of the faculty, is specialised in security issues. Main themes within this specialisation are Terrorism and Political Violence, Security and Cyberspace, Governance of Crises and Diplomacy and Global Affairs.
Leiden University is one of the founding partners of the Cyber Security Academy The Hague (CSA), which they founded together with Delft University of Technology and The Hague University of Applied Sciences. At the CSA scholars and lecturers together with experts from private and public sectors translate cyber security related issues into a varied range of multidisciplinary learning tracks for highly educated professionals.
The Cyber Security Academy initiates and stimulates the development and supervises the implementation of innovative Master’s degree programmes, several shorter courses, masterclasses and tailored tracks in the field of cyber security.
