Virtual Edition International Cyber Security Summer School 2021 has Commenced
This week the sixth edition of the International Cyber Security Summer School (ICSSS 2021) takes place. From the 22nd until the 27th of August, a multidisciplinary group of sixty students and young professionals from 20 different countries follow classes on the most current topics in cyber security. The ICSSS 2021 is organised by NCI Agency, Europol EC3, Palo Alto Networks, Leiden University, Cisco, SignPost Six, Radically Open Security, Accenture Security, Deloitte, EclecticIQ, KPN, and HSD. The partners of the ICSSS have come together to facilitate the knowledge transfer and access to talent to enhance our digital security.
With backgrounds in technology, policy, and law, the sixty selected participants come together to learn more about a much-needed multidisciplinary approach to cyber security. At the same time, these future cyber security experts will be brought into contact with experts and professionals from some of the most experienced organisations in the field, creating the access to the talent that is essential to many employers.
During the six-day program, the participants receive multiple lectures and workshops from (inter)national institutions, organisations and experts within the HSD partner network about cyber incidents, cyber risk and threat management, cryptocurrency investigations, cybercrime as a service and the human factor in cyber security.
Moreover, they will be challenged to come up with innovative solutions to current cyber security issues provided by Leiden University, NCI Agency, Palo Alto Networks, and Accenture Security. On Wednesday, the ICSSS hosts a special HR-event, giving students and organisations the opportunity to network and gain a good impression of each other. To wrap up the week the students will present their solutions to the challenges. They also will receive feedback from their supervisors and hopefully, if meeting all the criteria, receive their official certificates.
