Netherlands Prince Constantijn (StartupDelta), Joris den Bruinen (HSD) and JVP Chairman Erel Margalit team up to foster innovative cybersecurity ecosystem

In an effort to meet the increasingly globalised challenges of the cybersecurity industry, Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP), a leading Israeli investor, announced today it is partnering with the Netherlands as well as several startups to create and nurture a cybersecurity ecosystem involving Israël, the Netherlands, and JVP’s new cyber investment center in New York, Hub.NYC.

To kick-start the partnering, the Dutch security cluster ‘the Hague Security Delta’ (HSD), StartupDelta and cybersecurity investors TIIN Capital and KPN Ventures, hosted an event on 24 January at the HSD Campus. At this event, Dutch cybersecurity startups had the chance to pitch their companies and cyber security solutions to JVP and learn more about partnership, the new Hub.NYC and funding opportunities. Amongst the pitchers were: EclecticIQ, Scalys, Unchain, Onegini, Sightlabs, Keezel and Bitsensor. (More information about the event)

“It is an honor to join JVP in creating new collaborations in cybersecurity” said Prince Constantijn, who’s organisation StartupDelta is spearheading the project in the Netherlands. “Our cybersecurity industry is growing fast with cutting-edge solutions and talent, and we are thrilled to continue to expand these offerings to the world."

Among these offerings is the chance to participate in a new $1M Cybersecurity Moonshot Challenge, which calls on international experts and startups to develop solutions that can protect New York City-based small and midsize business from the dangers of cyber-attacks.

“Cyber attacks present one of the world’s most pressing threats, impacting nearly every aspect of our lives,” said Erel Margalit, JVP’s founder and chairman. “To combat this danger, we must support, develop and scale the best ideas from around the world. Our cybersecurity partnership will build on our existing work in food tech with the Netherlands, which also uses innovation to combat a great issue of our time, and will advance a truly global approach toward the future.”

As part of the collaboration, Margalit and Constantijn will meet to present ways Israel and the Netherlands can partner to create new game-changing technologies and ultimately grow a global consortium of countries collectively focused on cybersecurity innovation. All this in close collaboration with the Dutch security cluster HSD.
