Premium Partner Session: Marketing in Cybersecurity. From Complex Solutions to Clear Messages
On 3 September, Beyond Products and Security Delta (HSD) brought together a select group of HSD Premium Partners for an interactive session on one of the more challenging aspects of growing a cybersecurity business: marketing. The session focused on how organisations can approach these challenges with a marketing strategy that is pragmatic, realistic and built for the long term.
Throughout the afternoon, participants explored what effective cybersecurity marketing can look like in practice. The session combined lessons learned and practical examples with interactive exercises designed to help participants sharpen their own marketing approach.
One of the key exercises was the ‘60-second test’: could participants clearly communicate the value of their solution in just a few seconds? The exercise highlighted the importance of clear, focused messaging, particularly in a market where technical complexity can easily get in the way of communicating business value.
Moreover, participants discussed practical steps they could take to strengthen their marketing and support commercial growth. The aim was not to provide a one-size-fits-all marketing formula, but rather to offer concrete insights and tools that organisations could apply immediately.
How do CISOs and CIOs buy?
The session also featured insights from the Beyond Products Security Innovation Report 2026, exploring how CISOs and CIOs approach purchasing decisions and what this means for cybersecurity companies looking to reach and engage them effectively.
Understanding the needs, priorities and decision-making processes of security leaders is increasingly important for companies looking to turn their expertise into sustainable commercial growth.
Sharing challenges and learning from each other
With a deliberately small and interactive group, the session also provided plenty of room for participants to share their own experiences and challenges. By bringing real marketing cases to the table, attendees were able to learn not only from the speakers, but also from the experiences of fellow cybersecurity companies.
The session concluded with drinks, bites and informal networking, giving participants the opportunity to continue the conversation and exchange ideas.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Beyond Products for co-hosting the session and sharing their expertise!
