From 1-3 October the International One Conference took place in The Hague, organised by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC-NL) of the Ministry of Justice and Security in the Netherlands. This years’ theme is ‘Keeping our Future Secure, Be Innovative, Stay Alert.’

A novelty this year was the organisation of an Innovation Floor. During three days, in close collaboration with the city of The Hague, 14 organisations established in the Netherlands showcased their cyber security innovations at the Innovation Floor. Deputy Mayor of The Hague, Saskia Bruines and Director Digital Economy at the Ministry of Economic Affairs & Climate Policy, Jos de Groot opened the Innovation Floor during the first day of the One Conference.

The organisations who showcased their innovations were: Sightlabs, Scalys, Cybersprint, X-Systems, Compumatica, Voltolabs, TNO, Sim-CI, Meld een Vermoeden, CTF Zone, NBIP and AbuseIO, Radboud University/ING and Shared Research programma Cybersecurity.

Compumatica makes MASC software available free of charge to Dutch government organisations
During the Innovation Floor Compumatica announced that they make their self-developed MASC software available free of charge to Dutch government organisations to increase the digital resilience in the Netherlands. What once began with an internal wish, has developed into a fully-fledged product. With the MASC, new bugs in open source software (CVE’s) and software updates of e.g. Microsoft can be reported within a minute to the right person. All of this in a secure environment, in which the organisation does not have to share with third parties which software they use.

MASC (Magic Automatic Software Checker) checks the software in four steps, creating one way traffic with the help of diode technology. Thanks to this technology, the whole dataset can be downloaded ‘anonymously from the internet’, after which it is checked with the entered software list.

If organisations are interested in using the MASC technology, they can contact Compumatica (info@compumatica.com).
