Lieve Lubbe: “Cyber resilience starts with collaboration. You don’t have to do it alone.”
More and more SMEs are facing cyber threats, making digital resilience increasingly important. Lieve Lubbe, Junior Programme Coordinator for Cybersecurity and Resilience at Security Delta (HSD), was interviewed by Echt Niet Vandaag, an initiative by regional police officers, about urgency, collaboration and the power of collective action.
As part of Security Delta (HSD)’s efforts to strengthen cyber resilience, initiatives such as the Cyber Resilience Centre for Manufacturing and the Cyber Resilience Centre Greenport help entrepreneurs translate cybersecurity challenges into practical next steps. The interview highlights why awareness alone is not enough, and how working together can help businesses become more resilient against cybercrime.
Lieve’s message is clear: “You do not need to get everything perfect all at once, but making a start is essential. Cybercriminals will not wait until you are ready. By working together and sharing knowledge, we can make cyber resilience achievable, and that is what truly makes the difference.”
On 3 June, as part of the Echt Niet Vandaag Action Day, the Cyber Resilience Centre for Manufacturing will host a knowledge-sharing and networking event at the Duurzaamheidsfabriek. The session is driven by the new European Machinery Regulation, which from 20 January 2027 will introduce stricter requirements for machine safety, cybersecurity and the use of AI. The focus will be on practical implications: what do these rules mean for your business, and what can you already do today to reduce cyber risks? “Sessions like these help move from awareness to action,” says Lieve Lubbe. “They make it concrete and applicable.”
