CIF-NL 2025 Awarded More Than €2.5 Million to 20+ Cybersecurity Innovation Projects

The organisations selected to receive funding through the Cybersecurity Innovation Fund 2025 (CIF-NL 2025) have been announced! A total of €2.5 million has been awarded to support more than 20 innovative cybersecurity projects that will strengthen digital resilience and drive innovation across the Dutch cybersecurity ecosystem.

The selected projects focus on two strategic themes: promoting crypto agility and simplifying cybersecurity solutions while making them more cost-effective. Together, these initiatives aim to accelerate the development of practical, scalable solutions that help organisations respond to evolving cyber threats and improve the accessibility of cybersecurity technologies.

Driving innovation in two key areas

Projects under the Promoting Crypto Agility theme focus on helping organisations prepare for the transition to next-generation cryptographic standards, including the adoption of post-quantum cryptography. These innovations will contribute to a more resilient digital infrastructure that is ready for future technological developments.

The Simplifying Cybersecurity Solutions theme supports projects that make cybersecurity easier to implement, more affordable and more accessible. By reducing complexity and lowering barriers to adoption, these innovations will enable organisations of all sizes to strengthen their cyber resilience.

Strong interest in CIF-NL 2025

This year's funding round attracted strong interest from across the cybersecurity sector, reflecting the continued strength and innovation of the Dutch cybersecurity ecosystem. The funded projects will now move into the implementation phase, transforming innovative ideas into practical solutions that contribute to a safer and more digitally resilient society.
