Call for Abstracts - AI-Imaginations: The Future of AI and Public Safety
Abstracts are now called for “AI-Imaginations: The Future of AI and Public Safety”, a two-day international conference, taking place at Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam on June 19 & 20, 2025. Experts and innovaters are invited to explore how AI is shaping the future of public safety, addressing issues such as data privacy, human rights, politics, and the overall role of AI in public security.
Submissions furthermore need to have a focus on the ethical, social, and technological implications of AI in areas such as law enforcement and digital safety. Share your insights on how AI can be harnessed for a safer, more equitable future, while also considering the risks and challenges involved.
The following contributions exploring AI-Imaginations are welcomed:

- How can AI help define “goodness” and visions of a better society?
- What can we learn from Speculative Fiction and AI in art?
- Can AI inspire new research methods to understand public values and safety?
- How might AI challenge traditional ideas of public safety and security?
- How can AI-tools promote human rights, well-being, and inclusion within communities?
- How can AI and human creativity shape future communities?
- What strategies can protect us from AI misuse and harm?
- How do political ideologies influence and are influenced by AI?
By combining research and design, science and art, the two day conference aims for interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration between scientists, artists and practitioners. To explore the potential of AI and thought-provoking discussions that explore the relationship between AI-imaginations and public safety.
