About the Event
The Entrepreneurial Deep Dive is the second in a series of Deep Dives in the DutchChain Open Innovation Program that prepares participants for the largest blockchain hackathon in the world. Here, we will look at new successful business models that value openness and commons.

Regardless of your background (management, policy, business development, or tech), the content of the day will provide you with a completely new insight into how businesses will operate in 5-10 years. This is also a great chance to meet with potential hackathon team-mates, teams, and experts with a security background.

Programme

11.30 Walk-in with coffee (take your own lunch).

13.00 Word of welcome by Nyenrode Business Universiteit.

13.05 Opening remarks by Rutger van Zuidam (CEO, DutchChain).

13.15 Gilles Gravier (Director and Sr. Open Source and Blockchain Strategy Advisor at Wipro).

Making your open-source project attractive to investment.

14.00 Dr Irene Lopez de Vallejo (Founding Team Member at Ocean Protocol).

How is Ocean enabling #datacommons and what are their March 2019 token launch plans?

Ocean Protocol is a decentralized data exchange protocol for sharing data and services. The protocol uses blockchain technology to allow data to be shared and sold in a safe, secure and transparent manner. The Ocean Protocol is an open protocol and network, which is free to use for anyone. We believe a decentralized data exchange protocol is an integral part of the future utility infrastructure.

What is Ocean's roadmap? How will they deploy the €22 million from contributors to activate a global community and become a public utility for the 21st century?

14.45 Coffee break

15.30 Mark Vletter (Founder of Voys and VoIPGRID)

How to commonize a successful company?

Voys and VoIPGRID are amongst the fastest growing companies in Europe, with Voys winning seven consecutive FG Gazellen awards and VoIPGRID being the fastest growing telecom provider in the EMEA region three years running according to Deloitte Fast 50. The companies have also been voted some of the best places to work and have the highest customer satisfaction in the telecom industry.

The companies have been pioneering a flat organizational structure since 2012 and Voys champions working without managers and hierarchy. This has massively contributed to the satisfaction of both colleagues and customers. The companies adopted Holacracy in 2015, which is a system of decentralized management and organizational governance for a purposeful organization.

Now, Mark Vletter is thinking about taking it one (or two) steps beyond. Join Mark on his journey, learn how equality got the companies to where they are today and discuss the potential commonized future of his companies.

16.15 Michiel Sintentie (Sr. Business Development Manager at Vattenfall)

Live interview: "Pains, gains, and jobs: why are Swedish meatballs and old Dutch tablecloths crucial to Vattenfall's innovation system?"

How to solve a problem and create value for your client by innovating? Which different types of external stakeholders, like startups, do you involve? How do you make sure you have your ecosystem lined up for new innovations and ventures even before the problem arises? Michiel Sintenie helps you understand the innovation perspective and possibilities of this corporation and will share how Vattenfall's innovative approach has changed in the last four years, and also why trusting your gut instinct is not always enough.

16.30 Abe Scholte (Tokenization Lead at DutchChain)

Presentation and a live interview: how and why to tokenize your own organization?

Abe Scholte has recently finished his Management of Technology Master at TU Delft. He conducted his research at Gartner Consulting, based on the idea and Medium post of Trent McConaghy, CTO of BigchainDB. His research explains why Tokenized Ecosystems add value when applied to business processes. He also developed a systematic approach that helps the incumbent business with their decision-making regarding the application of Tokenized Ecosystems.

During this session, Abe Scholte reveals some of the key insights from his research and his future steps. Why are Tokenized Ecosystems relevant for businesses? Why is DutchChain Tokenizing its Ecosystem?

16.45 Decentralized Q&A: select a speaker to "deep dive" with on a topic of interest in a separate session.
