Operational Technology (OT) will take centre stage at Cybersec Netherlands 2025, held on 10 and 11 September at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. With threats to industrial networks and critical infrastructure on the rise, OT is receiving special focus this year through a dedicated OT Dome, an OT Pavilion, and substantial involvement from Security Delta (HSD). The programme is curated under the guidance of advisory board member Marcel Jutte, a recognised expert in OT security.

The sessions within the OT Dome are content-rich, largely non-commercial, and delivered in Dutch. They are aimed at professionals in sectors such as industry, manufacturing, energy, water management, and transport. The focus lies on practical applications, up-to-date legislation, and lessons learned from within the sector. The OT Dome is the go-to place for those seeking deeper insights into operational technology security.

Programme developed by trusted independent experts

The OT programme is being shaped in collaboration with renowned and independent organisations actively engaged in OT cybersecurity on a daily basis:

  • Stedin

  • Uniper

  • aXite Security Tools

  • Kader C&I

  • TNO

  • ICT Group

  • NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre)

  • CCV (Centre for Crime Prevention and Safety)

  • MODELEC

Together, they contribute to a robust and realistic content programme, filled with practical case studies and shared knowledge about the latest standards, threats, and solutions.

Programme highlights

Machines and Cybersecurity: How Should You Handle It?
By: Jeroen Heijkants & Sander Keim – Kader C&I / BMGIP
The upcoming European Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 will impose cybersecurity requirements on new machines from 2027 onwards. What does this mean for manufacturers and end-users? This session provides practical guidance and insights into the forthcoming legislation, CE conformity, and how to structurally integrate cybersecurity into machine safety.

Boost Your OT Cyber Resilience with Live Digital Twins
By: Bert Willemsen – CEO, aXite Security Tools
By leveraging Digital Twins, OT networks can be monitored continuously. These digital replicas integrate AI, asset management, and virtualisation to detect vulnerabilities early and neutralise cyber threats. Ideal for airports and critical infrastructure seeking greater control over their operational technology.

OT Cybersecurity in Practice: Challenges and Solutions
By: Sebastiaan Koning – ICT Group
In this session, Sebastiaan shares a pragmatic approach to IEC 62443, the leading standard for OT cybersecurity. He demonstrates how organisations can improve cyber resilience, comply with the Cybersecurity Act, and protect their OT systems – using concrete, real-world experiences.

OT Pavilion: meet the specialists

At the OT Pavilion, you can meet exhibitors such as Modelec and other leading organisations offering solutions for network segmentation, detection, management, and recovery within OT environments. The pavilion serves as an ideal complement to the in-depth sessions on offer.

Why invest in OT security now?

OT systems are the beating heart of production lines, energy supply, and transport networks. Unlike IT systems, they are often less protected and thus more vulnerable to attacks. With the growing threat of ransomware, sabotage, and geopolitical risks, OT cybersecurity is no longer a luxury—it is an absolute necessity. Cybersec Netherlands offers a unique blend of strategic vision, practical insight, and immediate applicability.
