Auteur: HSD Foundation

On 8 March the Cyber Resilience Centre Greenport, initiated by ten organisations amongst which HSD, hosted a cyber crisis simulation at the Rabobank. During this special exercise, participants gained insight into the various aspects involved in such a crisis and learned how best to prepare for it.

Through this simulation risk specialists of the Rabobank explored best practices for cyber crises, including when to call in external help, how to communicate with employees and the outside world, whether to pay ransom and how to get the organisation back on track as soon as possible.

The aim was to raise awareness for cybersecurity and to give the risk specialists a handle on how to approach their clients in the horticultural sector and urge them to work on their cybersecurity. Only together can we achieve a more resilient sector, and the Rabobank is keen to make their clients aware of how important prevention is. This exercise gives a clear picture of what an organisation can do to prepare for a cyber crisis. The Rabobank risk specialists will take this information to their clients and convey what steps can be taken to prepare for such a crisis. The Cyber Resilience Centre assists with this preparation by giving participating companies guidelines and tools to help set up their cybersecurity.

The Cyber Resilience Centre Greenport aims to ensure a digitally secure horticulture cluster. It is an initiative by Delphy, Dutch Fresh Port, Royal FloraHolland, Glastuinbouw Nederland, Greenport West-Holland, GroentenFruit Huis, Hoogendoorn Automatisering, Interpolis-Achmea, Security Delta (HSD), the Digital Trust Center, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Provincie Zuid-Holland and the city of The Hague (Kansen voor West II).
