Seminar privacy aspects of drones
Drone-technology is developing at a very high speed and because they get better, smaller and cheaper, there use for other purposes than military is growing rapidly. Drones are now increasingly used by law enforcers and for civil purposes like surveillance. Now drones are more widely used also the question of privacy becomes more relevant. Under what conditions can drones collect data, shoot videos, what are your rights as an individual, what can law enforcers do with these data, what are limitations in civil use, how will the people and the politicians react? All questions that we need to find answers for that are already or will become shortly very relevant to all organisations dealing with drones.
Therefore, Avisa Partners and Considerati organise a seminar about the privacy aspects of drones for non-military use. Dr. Bart W. Schermer, partner at Considerati and assistant-professor privacy law at Leiden University, and Marjolein van der Heide LLM BSc of Considerati have done the first in-depth academic research into the privacy aspects of drones and will share their findings in this session with you.
Programme of the seminar on privacy aspects of drones
The seminar is free of charge for clients and relations of Avisa and Considerati. Because of limited space we kindly ask you to confirm your attendance by sending an email to niels.karssen@avisa.eu before 25 August 2013.
