On the 4th of September 2015, the final field demonstrations of the robotic search and rescue tools developed within the FP7 project ICARUS will take place on the training grounds of the Belgian First Aid and Support Team in Marche-en-Famenne, Belgium. These field trials will showcase how the robotic tools (not only drones and ground robots, but also the communication, command & control and training tools supporting these robots) developed by the ICARUS project partners can assist “human” search and rescue teams in the aftermath of a major disaster, such as an earthquake. If you are eager to find out what to expect from these demonstrations, then you can take a look at the video of last year’s event here

Programme
10.00–11.00 ICARUS Welcome presentation
11.00–12.00 B-FAST Deployment and set-up
12.00–13.00 SAR operations on a rubble field
13.00–14.00 Networking lunch & visit of stands
14.00–15.00 SAR operations on a school building
15.00–16.00 SAR operations in a CBRN context

Please note that – as the trial site is located in a military base – registration is absolutely required. The registration page will stay open until 31/07, but of course we'd like to have a view of the attendance as quickly as possible for logistic reasons.
