HSD Lunch & Talk: Unlocking European Funding Opportunities for Startups and Scale-ups

Once a month, we organise a Lunch & Talk at the HSD Campus. These events offer a great opportunity to meet the experts helping to secure our digital society, while enjoying a delicious lunch. To encourage knowledge sharing, experts from the HSD Community give short presentations on a variety of topics.

This month's Lunch & Talk focuses on European funding opportunities for startups and scale-ups. How can innovative companies access funding without giving away equity? Navigating the European funding landscape can be challenging, particularly for companies looking to finance their next stage of growth. With numerous programmes available, knowing where to start and how to prepare a strong application is essential.

On Monday 9 November, Security Delta (HSD) will host a Lunch & Talk featuring Régis Cazenave from Mind Forward, in collaboration with Strata, a consultancy specialising in European public funding.

During the session, Régis will share practical insights into European funding opportunities and explain how startups and scale-ups can benefit from non-dilutive funding to support innovation and growth. Drawing on his experience with European funding programmes, he will discuss what entrepreneurs should consider before applying and how to approach the application process.

What to expect

The session will cover:

• The different funding options available to startups and scale-ups;

• Why European grants are particularly relevant for deep-tech companies;

• An overview of the European funding landscape, including programmes such as Horizon Europe, EIC and Eurostars;

• How to assess whether your company is a suitable candidate for European funding;

• How to move from funding strategy to application submission and identify the next steps.
