Are you a cybersecurity expert eager to share your insights with an international audience? The ONE Conference is now accepting proposals for its 2026 programme! As the Netherlands’ prime international cybersecurity conference, the ONE Conference covers a wide spectrum of topics, from technical cybersecurity to policy issues and economic opportunities offered by the cyber domain. Experts from business, academia, industry, and government will come together to share insights and explore the latest developments in cybersecurity.

As the Netherlands’ leading international cybersecurity conference, ONE Conference covers a wide spectrum of topics, ranging from highly technical cybersecurity developments to policy issues and the economic opportunities offered by the cyber domain. The mission is to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration within the international cybersecurity community. Participants include professionals from the CERT community, academia, public and private sector security experts, as well as key partners from law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

The conference will feature smaller session rooms designed to facilitate niche topics, technical deep dives and interactive discussions. The ONE warmly welcomes a wide variety of session formats, including workshops, debates, quizzes and other creative concepts. Sessions aimed at specialised or highly technical audiences are strongly encouraged. Every session offers value to a particular group of participants.

What are they looking for?

Are you a cybersecurity professional with insights worth sharing on an international stage? The ONE Conference is looking for proposals that highlight new research, emerging threats and technologies, innovative ideas, or lessons drawn from real-world experience. Different formats are welcome: from workshops, debates, quizzes to other creative concepts. Highly specialised and technical sessions are also encouraged.

Separate calls are open for participation in the Expo and the Talent Hub:

  • The ONE Talent Hub brings together talent organisations and initiatives dedicated to developing, inspiring and supporting talent.
  • The Expo offers companies working on projects aligned with the theme “Made in Europe”, an opportunity to showcase your work and innovations to the international cybersecurity community.

More information about the possibilities can be found here.

Themes

There are diverse themes that could be addressed at the ONE Conference 2026. Below you will find our suggested themes for this year:

  • Cyber Governance: Navigate the complex landscape of cybersecurity legislation (such as NIS2/CBW, DORA, NETCode,  CSA, CRA). Subjects are, for example, law enforcement , standards, the challenge/mismatch between the development of cybersecurity and (pending) regulation, cybersecurity in the boardroom, strategy and leadership.
  • Critical Systems and Chain Security (Critical Infrastructure):  Within this theme, the focus is on the security, continuity, and resilience of systems whose failure or disruption would have significant societal, economic, or security impact. Learn from past cyber incidents, understand the impact and responsibilities during a crisis and explore best practices for communication, recovery and resilience. Examine the critical role of cybersecurity in the supply chain and third-party relationships. Focus on securing operational technology (OT), conducting risk assessments and implementing risk management strategies. Learn about designing secure products with security by design/default principles.
  • Geopolitics: Investigate the intersection of cybersecurity and geopolitics, covering issues such as (digital) sovereignty and autonomy, mitigating undesired strategic dependencies, developing a stronger European cybersecurity market, offensive cyber capabilities, international cooperation with partner counties, hybrid warfare and defence. Explore the role of big tech in combating disinformation and the protection of critical infrastructure against espionage and advanced persistent threats.
  • Human Impact: Address the human element in cybersecurity, focusing on talent, training, neurodiversity, inclusiveness, education and the various professions within the field. Discuss the challenges of staff shortages, cyber awareness, the talent gap and explore the impact of human behaviour on cybersecurity in a digital society.
  • Core of Tech: Take a deep dive into advanced technical cybersecurity topics, including advanced threat detection, attack techniques and investigation methods. Learn about encryption and decryption techniques, OT security and the latest detection methods to stay ahead of cyber threats.
  • Future of Cyber: Discuss the future of cybersecurity. Examine challenges and opportunities at the intersection of cyber and emerging technologies such as AI and quantum. Highlight the importance of research, innovation and cooperation to shape a secure future. Investigate strategies to help startups-ups become the trailblazers of tomorrow.

Guidelines

The ONE Conference always receives many high-quality proposals, and they can unfortunately not always accommodate as many entries as they would like. You can increase your chances of success by using the guidelines to make your entry stand out.

Speaker Agreement

Speakers at the ONE Conference are a valuable addition to the programme. At the same time, speaking at the ONE Conference is a collaboration. To make expectations clear for both sides, they have outlined all responsibilities, rights and practical arrangements in the Speaker Agreement. Please take a moment to review the Speaker Agreement carefully. It ensures transparency about what you can expect from us as the organizer, and what we expect from you as a speaker.
