Introducing New Members at HSD Office
At the beginning of April, we welcomed three new senior colleagues to strengthen our HSD Office team: Rob Schrouff, Suzanne Janse and Pim Koning. With backgrounds at organisations such as NCC Group/Fox-IT, ING, Deloitte, and Davinci College, they bring a wealth of experience as well as an extensive professional network. We are excited that they have chosen HSD as the next step in their careers.
Rob Schrouff is joining HSD Office as Senior Innovation Liaison. Rob brings extensive experience in global service improvement, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, digital transformation, and global service development. He previously worked at NCC Group as an Enterprise Architect and spent eight years at Fox-IT as International Change Manager and Product Owner. He has been a drone pilot with the Ministry of Defence for six years and is still involved in large-scale events as a ‘passion project’, focusing on crowd management and security.
In addition, he founded Schrouff, providing business turnaround and growth solutions, and co-founded Unit5, a marketing start-up delivering technology-driven strategies. He is passionate about continuous improvement and driving innovation in cybersecurity and organisational development. In his new role at HSD, he will focus on the programmes Defense, Impact Coalition Safety & Security and further development of the Cyber Resilience Centres.
Suzanne Janse will also start as Senior Innovation Liaison, bringing over 20 years of (international) experience in IT governance, cybersecurity and digital trust. Suzanne has led global cybersecurity transformation programmes at ING, co-founded the PCSI public-private partnership and advised boards on governance, resilience, AI governance and post-quantum cryptography. She has also held senior positions at Deloitte, Protiviti and KPMG, overseeing IT-risk and security transformation projects at large corporate organisations. Most recently, she supported the growth of a post-quantum cryptography start-up. Additionally, Suzanne enjoys doing research, she is a lecturer and research supervisor at Erasmus Economics & Business Executive Education, specialising in IT auditing & advisory and programme manager High Resilient Organisations at the Digital Knowledge Institute.
After 20 years in the private sector, Suzanne is keen to leverage her experience and contribute to a stronger and more secure Dutch economy. And - as they say in her city of residence (R’dam) - stop talking, start working. At HSD she will focus on programmes related to the Ministry of Justice & Security and Public Prosecution Service, IT Verband Zuid-Holland and Smart Secure Energy Transition.
Pim Koning is our new Senior Finance & Backoffice Manager and member of the Management Team. In this role, he oversees back-office operations and is responsible for the foundation’s financial management. He has a background in finance and operational management, having worked as Financial Advisor at CVO and as Financial Administration Team Leader at Davinci College Dordrecht. Pim brings a wealth of experience gained at the various companies where he has worked. Alongside his role at HSD, he is a council member of Schiedam since 1 April 2026. Pim is looking forward to his new challenge at HSD and being part of this unique ecosystem with plenty of challenges and opportunities.
