This Year's challenges

This year's CASSINI hackathon explored the future of defence and security, focusing on how space-based systems can enhance secure communications, disaster response, and navigation services. Participants of the hackathon tackled one of three exciting challenges:

  1. Enhancing Defence & Security with Geospatial Intelligence
  2. Unmanned Drone Applications for Defence & Security Operations
  3. Orbital Security: Navigating the Collision Frontier

A few weeks before the hackathon, a series of webinars was organised by Royal HaskoningDHV and the dotSPACE foundation to give info on the latest developments in space technology. Key topics of these webinars included geospatial intelligence, space-based security solutions and space situational awareness.
