NFIR recently joined Security Delta (HSD) as a premium partner. Founded in 2017, the company specialises in both proactive and reactive cybersecurity services, offering practical and expert-driven support to help organisations strengthen their digital defences. With a clear focus on engineering excellence and independent expertise, NFIR’s mission is to make cybersecurity accessible and effective — by combining deep technical know-how with a hands-on approach.

NFIR was established in 2017 and continued to operate as NFIR BV after merging with True Access BV in early 2018. The company was founded with three people, including founder and general director Arwi van der Sluijs, with the goal of offering the Dutch business community efficient and reasonably priced cybersecurity services. With offices in Zwolle and Rijswijk, NFIR has expanded to a staff of more than 50 experts. Notwithstanding this quick expansion, the business maintains its core values as an active, engineer-led company that understands what works and uses that understanding to provide clients with true security.

From prevention to response

NFIR offers a full suite of cybersecurity services designed to remove the operational burden from its clients. Its proactive services include Security Testing and Ethical Hacking, Cybersecurity Awareness Programmes, Security Consulting, including CIS Control audits, Managed Detection & Response (MDR). For urgent or retrospective needs, NFIR also provides Incident Response Services and Independent Digital Forensic Investigations. NFIR delivers practical solutions that translate complex cybersecurity risks into clear, effective action.

Connecting through HSD

NFIR’s partnership with HSD was facilitated through existing connections with Bizway, another HSD Premium Partner. NFIR'S decision to join as a premium partner was driven by a desire to share knowledge more widely and strengthen their presence in the national cybersecurity landscape.

Arwi van der Sluijs, "We believe in the societal importance of HSD's mission. It is in line with our own — and we're excited to help, not just by sponsoring, but also by exchanging knowledge and establishing solid professional connections."

Adding expertise to the security cluster

NFIR brings deep technical expertise and a strong community focus to the HSD ecosystem. Known as a champions league player in cybersecurity, NFIR combines advanced engineering talent with a practical, results-driven approach. Their contributions to the security cluster include:

  • Training and mentoring cybersecurity professionals
  • Hosting at least four free cybersecurity knowledge events annually
  • Sharing tools, case studies, and best practices with the community

By helping raise the overall level of cyber expertise in the Netherlands, NFIR plays a key role in strengthening national security readiness and resilience.

Tackling industry challenges with clear ambition

NFIR cautions against the growing number of low-cost, low-quality providers entering the cybersecurity market, creating a misleading sense of safety for businesses. By endorsing standards such as the CCV Quality Label, they champion reliable, expert-led cybersecurity. With ambitions to expand to 100 employees and rank among the top three providers in the Netherlands, NFIR is also exploring new partnerships in Incident Response and MDR — all while remaining steadfast in their belief that secure systems are the cornerstone of sustainable business.

By combining deep technical expertise with a pragmatic, community-driven approach, NFIR’s role within the HSD security cluster strengthens the collective resilience and knowledge-sharing capacity of the Dutch cybersecurity ecosystem.
