€10 million Subsidy for Innovative SME projects, also in Safety & Security

The Province of South-Holland provides nearly €10 million of subsidy for innovative entrepreneurs who contribute on solving societal challenges, such as Safety & Security, Food Safety, and the prevention of environmental damage. With this subsidy the province wants to encourage innovation in the SME sector which lead to new products and services which  contribute to a more sustainable and innovative economy in this region. Half of the €10 million will be taken account by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.

 

Applying for subsidy

There are three types of applications for projects possible: an innovation-advisory project, a feasibility study or a R&D collaboration project:

  • Innovation-advisory projects (with a maximum of €10,000 subsidy and maximum 50% subsidy of the project costs). This involves SME entrepreneurs which hire a knowledge institution or an independent consultant to innovate their products, production processes or services

  • Feasibility study projects (with a maximum of €25,000 subsidy and maximum 40% of the project costs) in order to chart the technical and economical risks of an innovation project.

  • R&D collaboration projects (small projects, with a maximum of €200,000 subsidy or bigger projects, with maximum 35% of the project costs) with focus on two or more SME enterprises which collaborate share the costs and the risks. The project should consist of an industrial investigation or an experimental development or a combination of both.

HSD and InnovationQuarter can support SME enterprises in Security & Safety with elaboration of innovative project proposal or finding partners.
