Economic Trade Mission Japan
Would you like to do business in Japan? Join the economic trade mission focusing on smart urban solutions for Tokyo 2020.
The Economic Mission taking place October 18-22 will be under supervision of the Ministery of Health, Welfare and Sport (Ministerie van Volksgezondheid, Welzijn en Sport), Ms. Edith Schippers. The mission will focus on companies and knowledge institutions active in the field of smart urban solutions, security challenges, sport science and e-health.
Japan will host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2020. In preparation for these events the Japanese government wants to protect the critical infrastructures against cyber threats. There will be good opportunities for innovative and sustainable business.
Smart Urban Solutions for Tokyo2020
In November 2015, prime minister Rutte lead the first mission to Japan titled ‘Smart Urban Solutions for Tokyo2020’. Minister Schippers (minister of Healthcare Welfare and Sports) is going to lead the follow-up of this mission. The 2020 Olympic and Paralympic games will take place in Tokyo. The Japanese government aims at creating this the most ‘sustainable Olympic Games’ ever.
Although the competition is fierce, the Olympic and Paralympic Games offers great opportunities for companies delivering their innovative and sustainable products and services. This mission focusses on water, energy-efficiency, the constructions and establishment of sustainable (sport) infrastructure, safety issues and the coordination of large group of people.
Even if you did not participate in the trade delegation in November 2015, you can still profit from the contacts and activities that have already been established.
