Dutch Cyber Delegation to Taiwan 2026
Positioned strategically in the global supply chain, Taiwan plays a key role, especially in semiconductors and AI-driven cybersecurity. Facing rising threats like over 2 million daily cyberattacks in 2025, Taiwan's government is pushing for more international cooperation under its National Cybersecurity Development Program (2025–2028), which invests NT$8.8 billion in AI tools for threat detection and resilience. Despite these challenges, Taiwan's strengths in hardware security, post-quantum encryption, and AI integration make it a vital player in the world.
Based on recent developments in the cybersecurity landscapes of the Netherlands and Taiwan, and considering both their similarities and complementary strengths in ICT hardware and software, we will explore new R&D and business opportunities during the 2026 Dutch Cyber Delegation to CYBERSEC Taiwan.
The goal of the mission:
- Support two-way market access between the Netherlands and Taiwan, and identify new business opportunities for both Dutch and Taiwanese companies.
- Strengthen cyber defense by combining Taiwan’s AI hardware strengths with Dutch software innovation.
- Facilitate knowledge exchange and public–private partnerships between the Netherlands and Taiwan to turn cybersecurity challenges into business opportunities.
- Explore the feasibility of setting up joint R&D funding to support research and innovation.
Target group
Companies and research institute (from NL) that have visited Taiwan before (f.e. during an earlier mission) and those that have expressed an interest in doing business in Taiwan.
More information will be revealed very soon!
