INLYSE and CDeX PSA Winners ECSO Cyber Investors Days 2023

On 5 October, the Dutch edition of the ECSO Cyber Investor Days 2023 took place at the HSD Campus during the Cyber Security Week in The Hague. A distinguished group of 10 top-tier European cybersecurity start-ups pitched their innovative solutions to an expert jury. Resulting in two winners INLYSE and CDeX PSA who are nominated for the ECSO STARtup Award 2024. 

 

The event, organised by ECSO, InnovationQuarter, TIIN Capital, KPN Ventures, Security Delta (HSD), the City of The Hague, and Women4Cyber gave investors a chance to listen to well-polished pitches by startups that were pre-selected by a jury of cybersecurity experts. And in addition, gave entrepreneurs the opportunity to matchmake and meet with leading cybersecurity investors and companies from around Europe and beyond.

 

Cyber security organisations CardioID, G360DAO, INLYSE, OneSpace, Cyberpass, CDeX, Sagenso, Asvin, Infix Technologies and Secior pitched their solutions.

 

Investing in European start-ups and scale-ups

The day’s programme kicked off with some words by Security Delta (HSD) director Joris den Bruinen. In his opening speech he emphasised the necessity of bringing start-ups and investors together. “By collaborating with ECSO, InnovationQuarter, KPN Ventures, TIIN Capital/Dutch Security TechFund we can build international bridges between scale-ups, start-ups and investors on a European level. With this access to capital event, we provide business the opportunity to grow their business and in addition the cyber security ecosystem”, he said.

The event also saw activities where participants had the chance to participate in B2B meetings as well as a fireside chat about 'Balancing Security and Innovation: The Ethics and Implications of Investments in Dual-Use Cybersecurity Technologies' with Kristine Rudzite-Stejskala (Policy Officer – European Defence Fund), Joep Gommers (Founder & CEO at EclecticIQ), Erno Doorenspleet (CTO Security at KPN). The day ended with more freeform networking opportunities for investors and pitching start-ups over drinks, giving the guests a chance to matchmake.

 

ECSO STARtup Award 2023

INLYSE and CDeX PSA were selected and nominated by the local jury as the companies participating in the Dutch edition of the Cyber Investor Days that will move on to compete against other European companies in the final for the ECSO’s European Cybersecurity STARtup Award 2023 in Germany. They will get an opportunity to pitch to a European jury and present themselves to high-level investors, corporate executives and cybersecurity experts.

Cyber Security Week in The Hague

The Cyber Investor Days is part of the Cyber Security Week 2023 and is a side event of the ONE Conference. The ONE Conference is the Netherlands’ leading international cybersecurity event held at the World Forum The Hague on 3 and 4 October. The city of the Hague was the place to be for cybersecurity investors and enthusiasts interested in Cybersecurity this week. It provided many opportunities to meet key players, discuss the latest developments, share knowledge, innovative solutions, enhance awareness and pitch for funding.
