International Cyber Security Summer School

Since 2015, HSD organises the International Cyber Security Summer School (ICSSS) in August. The annual programme is organised by the national security cluster Security Delta (HSD), in collaboration with partners including Europol, the NCI Agency, knowledge institutions and numerous cybersecurity companies, with the aim of attracting and developing the cybersecurity talent of the future.

During a week, 60 students (PhD, Master) and starters/young professionals broaden their knowledge about cyber security and get the chance to partake in a wide array of lectures and challenges on the most current issues and topics in the field of cyber security.

The programme offers several aspects such as interesting lectures by renowned experts, insiders’ perspectives, group assignments, and fun social activities including company visits and excursions.

In 2025, the Summer School celebrated its 10th anniversary and launched a special lustrum ICSSS Magazine. This magazine looks back through photos, stories, quotes, and interesting insights, highlighting the most memorable moments and achievements along the way and a glimpse into the future.
