Dutch Cybersecurity Cluster Well on the US Map due to Successful Trade Mission 2022
Did you know that the USA can benefit from the Netherlands’ strategic geographical location as a digital gateway to Europe? Reducing cybercrimes, securing digital infrastructure, and protecting online privacy are of great importance when building a safe online environment.
After two years of COVID and online events, a huge delegation of 40+ cybersecurity entrepreneurs, agencies and public sector organisations from the Dutch cybersecurity cluster joined the Cybersecurity Trade Mission to San Francisco (RSA). The RSA Conference took place from 5 until 10 June 2022. The Dutch delegation looks back to a fantastic week of networking and events.
For the fourth time the Dutch delegation attended the RSA Conference & Exhibition, the largest cybersecurity conference in the world under the guidance of InnovationQuarter and in close cooperation with Security Delta (HSD), the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Consulate General of the Netherlands in San Francisco. Similar to 2020, the Netherlands hosted a pavilion, where eight Dutch cybersecurity companies and organisations presented their latest innovations and showed how they are future-proofing cybersecurity for the challenges ahead. The eight companies this year were Breachlock, Awareways, ON2IT, Briddge, EclecticIQ, Signpost Six, Group IB and SecuredNow.
PIB Cybersecurity USA partners part of trade mission
Also, cybersecurity companies Audittrail, SecuredNow, Radically Open Security, Zivver, aXite Security Tools, EclecticIQ, Compumatica and Signpost Six were part of the mission to San Francisco. in December 2021 these companies joined forces together with InnovationQuarter, Security Delta (HSD) and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and signed a covenant and action plan for a Partners in Business Cybersecurity USA. Roadmap Cybersecurity
The trade mission to San Francisco is part of the larger Roadmap Cybersecurity US 2020-2023. The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dutch embassy and consulates, InnovationQuarter (IQ) and HSD have initiated a Roadmap in 2021 and are fully committed to assisting companies doing business in the United States. The Roadmap Cybersecurity US 2020-2023 is a “multiyear programmatic approach to cybersecurity US”. By joining forces companies can enter the US-cybersecurity market. The roadmap bundles existing activities aimed at the US-market and supplements them with new ones. The roadmap focuses on trade promotion, innovation, knowledge sharing and acquisition by looking into topics such as IoT, threat intelligence and data protection.
