The Cyber Resilience Centre Greenport is the center for expertise and information on cybersecurity in the horticultural sector. Companies and organizations in the sector are digitally connected to chain parties and suppliers in various ways. Ensuring security is therefore a joint task; it requires a chain approach. That approach is the Cyber Resilience Centre Greenport: a joint desk for digital security for companies in the horticultural cluster, such as production companies, breeders, trade and suppliers.

Participants of the Cyber Resilience Centre will receive, among other things:

  • Access to a digital desk, where one can ask questions to cybersecurity experts.
  • Up-to-date and relevant threat information.
  • Access to a toolbox and events such as cybercafés, which focus on knowledge sharing in the field of cybersecurity.

Results to date:

  • An analysis was conducted in 2020 to map the impact of cyber vulnerabilities on behalf of the Economic Board Zuid-Holland. Estimated cost of fighting vulnerabilities falls between 2 and 4 billion euros per year in the province of Zuid-Holland. About 20% of SMEs become victims of a cyber-attack every year. Based on these results, it was recommended to establish the Cyber Resilience Center Greenport.

  • In December 2021, a grant was provided by the Digital Trust Center, which made it possible to set up the Cyber Resilience Center.

  • The Cyber Resilience Center officially opened on Oct. 7, 2022, in the presence of the Coalition of Doing. This Coalition of Doing consists of the initiating parties, namely: Greenport West-Holland, HSD, Royal Flora Holland, Interpolis-Achmea, Delphy, Dutch Fresh Port/VBO, Hoogendoorn Automatisering, Glastuinbouw Nederland, Anthura, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Province South-Holland, GroentenFruit Huis and the Digital Trust Center.
