WE-IT

In a world where technology is constantly evolving and the demand for digital skills is growing, the South Holland Human Capital Agreement was established in 2019. The Human Capital Agreement is an initiative of the South Holland Economic Board with the aim of addressing mismatches in the labour market. WE-IT is the sub-agreement that focuses on the IT sector and was launched in 2020. The number of partners and IT training programmes has since grown. In addition to the province of South Holland, WE-IT also receives a subsidy from the National Growth Fund. This enables us to help SMEs in South Holland recruit more IT professionals.

Our ambition

The shortage of IT professionals is a complex challenge. At WE-IT, we believe that a joint effort by governments, educators and businesses is essential to effectively address this challenge. It is therefore WE-IT's ambition to strengthen society in South Holland in social, economic and educational terms by stimulating growth in the number of IT professionals. By working together on innovative training programmes, promoting lifelong learning and improving access to IT education, we can lay a solid foundation for a well-functioning IT industry and stimulate the growth of the digital economy.

The Hague University of Applied Sciences as coordinator

The WE-IT project is coordinated by The Hague University of Applied Sciences. As coordinator, The Hague University of Applied Sciences is responsible for project administration and subsidy applications and accountability.
