Public and private organisations within the Cyberweerbaarheidsnetwerk (CWN) have officially reaffirmed their cooperation. With the new cooperation agreements, network partners are taking a joint step towards strengthening the digital resilience of the Netherlands.

The Cyberweerbaarheidsnetwerk is the further development of the Landelijk Dekkend Stelsel (National Cyber Security Network)  and supports the implementation of the Dutch Cybersecurity Strategy 2022–2028. Within the CWN, public and private organisations work together to prevent digital disruption and strengthen the cyber resilience of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Working together to strengthen collective cyber resilience

The strength of the CWN lies in cooperation between organisations representing different sectors, supply chains and ecosystems. As network partners, organisations contribute to strengthening the cyber resilience of their communities and to a collective approach to cybersecurity challenges.

The cooperation focuses on four functions:

  • information sharing, including notification of potential victims and targets;
  • incident response;
  • knowledge exchange; and
  • education, training and exercises.

The new cooperation agreements clarify what network partners can expect from one another. Partners actively participate in CWN activities, share relevant knowledge and information with their networks, and contribute to increasing the visibility, reach and impact of the network.

HSD as a network partner

Security Delta (HSD) is also a network partner within the CWN. Through its network of more than 300 partners, HSD helps connect knowledge, expertise and practical experience in the field of cybersecurity and digital resilience. The Cyber Resilience Centres Greenport and Maakindustrie provide an important channel for translating knowledge and information from the CWN into specific sectors and ecosystems. Through these centres, relevant information, insights and practical guidance can reach companies and organisations that can directly put them into practice.

Working together for a cyber-resilient Netherlands

During a partner gathering at The ONE Conference, several network partners symbolically signed a commitment board to reaffirm their cooperation. Beyond formally confirming the partnership, the agreements reflect a shared commitment to working together to strengthen the cyber resilience of the Netherlands.
