Platform Veilig Ondernemen (PVO)

Platform Veilig Ondernemen (PVO) is a public–private initiative dedicated to making Dutch entrepreneurs, especially SMEs, more resilient against crime, including cyber threats. We translate national policy and sector knowledge into practical, immediately applicable knowledge products and interactive workshops for businesses, and we convene local coalitions of municipalities, police, sector bodies, and entrepreneurs to improve safety in shopping areas, nightlife districts, industrial zones, and supply chains.

Our role in the security sector is to bridge practice and policy: we speak the language of entrepreneurs, curate actionable guidance, and facilitate collaborations that raise resilience while reducing harm from fraud, cybercrime, and other forms of criminality. With ten regional PVOs, we operate close to the field and connect local efforts to national partners, ensuring scale and consistency. This brings security improvements from strategy to shop floor, helping partners achieve measurable impact across regions and sectors.
