Why US?

The United States is a significant player in the field of cybersecurity, both in terms of market size, but also R&D and foreign investments. Competition within the US market is intense, but the demand for cybersecurity solutions continues to grow as trends such as IoT and AI foster the need for digital protection. The Netherlands and the US have long-standing trade relation.

According to Nathalie Jaarsma, former Dutch ambassador for Security Policy and Cyber, the Netherlands ‘ranks 5th on the global cyber power index. What’s more, the long-standing trade relations with the United States […] offers a wealth of opportunities between two countries that have been the home of many of the world’s leading innovations. Existing and emerging challenges call for inclusive solutions that we can address together.” Therefore, the Netherlands can play a pivotal role in supporting the USA in their ambitions by taking a unified approach with niche experts and sharing knowledge and expertise.
