It is HSD Foundation’s strife to maintain transparency in who we are, what we do and what results we realise as HSD Office and via our partners. This year we put attention to enhance our transparency, resulting in:

As of the 1st of January 2019, the governance model of HSD Foundation will also been changed. The current board, consisting of HSD founding partners and an independent chairman, will be replaced by a single director accountable to a professional supervisory board. Joris den Bruinen, the current deputy-director and fellow founder of HSD Foundation, has been appointed as director. The renewed governance underlines the next phase in the development of the Dutch security cluster and emphasises its independent position.

HSD Campus

We have noticed that there is some confusion with regards to the relation between HSD Foundation and HSD Campus. We want to emphasise that the municipality of The Hague is the operator of the HSD Campus. The HSD Foundation (HSD Office) rents 6 rooms at the HSD Campus and is in fact a tenant of the municipality of The Hague which -as the primary tenant- bears the responsibility for the HSD Campus. Therefore, the HSD Campus as such does not fall under the ownership of HSD Foundation.

As tenant of the HSD Campus and as accelorator & facilitator of the Dutch security cluster, HSD Office reinforces the goals and positioning of the campus via content related activities (such as HSD Cafes and open innovation sessions), connecting organisations and communication on initiatives that take place on the campus.
