Resilient Growers: a cyber-secure and sustainable horticulture sector through digital data innovation
Resilient Growers is a sector-wide project of Cyberweerbaarheidscentrum Greenport (CW Greenport), initiated by Greenport West-Holland and Security Delta (HSD) in collaboration with Banken Champignons, L.A. van Schie, and GroentenFruit Huis. Together with growers, IT suppliers, sector organisations and ecosystem partners, the project aims to strengthen the cyber resilience and future readiness of the Dutch horticulture sector.
Resilient Growers combines cyber threat intelligence from national authorities with signals from daily practice in the sector. These insights are translated into practical actions and recommendations, helping horticultural businesses better prepare for cyber threats and digital disruptions.
A key element is the development of a structured approach for collecting and securely sharing cyber threat intelligence within the sector. A pilot group of growers and IT suppliers, including Koppert Cress, Rovecom and BXTR, is testing and refining this approach. Other organisations involved include Royal Zon, Meeder Group, Nature’s Pride, Greenports Nederland, Greenport Gelderland, Greenport Boskoop and Glastuinbouw Nederland.
By connecting data, expertise and practical experience, Resilient Growers contributes to a more secure, resilient and future-ready Dutch horticulture sector.
Implementation of the project is made possible in part through funding from RVO, commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature (LVVN), and the European Union.
