Z-CERT Strengthens Incident Response Capacity with Four Cybersecurity Partners
An important milestone in strengthening the digital resilience of the healthcare sector in the Netherlands, as Z-CERT, the national computer emergency response team for the healthcare sector, has formally awarded a tender for incident response services to four cybersecurity (HSD) partners: Atos, Fox-IT, KPN Health and Tesorion. Through this partnership, the selected cybersecurity companies will support Z-CERT in responding to large-scale and complex cyber incidents affecting healthcare organisations.
Cyber incidents in the healthcare sector can have significant consequences for the continuity of care and the protection of sensitive data. By working together with multiple specialised partners, Z-CERT strengthens its capacity to respond quickly and effectively when major incidents occur. This collaborative approach ensures that the right expertise and resources are available when they are most needed.
The four partners will assist Z-CERT in analysing, containing and resolving cyber incidents that require additional capacity or specialised technical expertise. Their support will help healthcare organisations recover faster from cyber threats while minimising disruption to essential services.
Wim Hafkamp, Director of Z-CERT, emphasised the importance of the partnership: “Responding to large and complex cyber incidents requires a tailored approach and places significant demands on our incident response capacity. We are therefore pleased to enter into this collaboration with four Dutch cybersecurity companies. Together, we can continue to safeguard the digital security of the Dutch healthcare sector.”
By expanding its incident response network, Z-CERT takes another important step towards strengthening the cybersecurity resilience of healthcare organisations across the Netherlands.
