Women4Cyber Conference: Tackling Emerging Cyber Challenges Together

On 3 & 4 October, the Beyond Borders Conference hosted by the Women4Cyber Foundation took place at Louwman Museum in The Hague. The conference is part of the Cybersecurity Week, and all about diversity and breaking boundaries in the world of cybersecurity. Security Delta (HSD) and Connect2Trust are endorsing partner of the event, to support a more diverse (cyber)security field.

During two days cutting-edge visitors joined discussions on AI, cybercrime, impact of regulation, insights from CISOs, hybrid threats, social engineering and much more. There are inspirational talks, case studies, technical presentations and lots of networking opportunities.

 

New: Talent hub & VIP C-level networking area
A new addition this year is a talent hub, as well as a VIP C-level networking area for more opportunities to make meaningful connections. The Road2Cyber Job Fair is organised in collaboration with European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO) and provided starters and experienced professionals a gateway to an exciting future in cybersecurity. Visitors could directly connect with top employers, amongst Siemens and Accenture and get insight in career-changing opportunities.

 

Recognition Award 

Another one of the highlights is the Recognition Award, which honours organisations striving for gender equality and a more diverse cybersecurity workforce! On stage the winner was announced: Institute for Security and Safety GmbH at the UAS Mannheim. The W4C Recognition Award is aimed at companies with at least 30% of women in the workforce and/or committed to increasing the number of women and reaching gender equality can apply for the W4C Recognition Award. This award acknowledges efforts in enhancing gender diversity among cybersecurity experts while fostering an unbiased hiring process, pay equity, and other measures.

Speakers
Besides Women4Cyber there were many international speakers, amongst HSD partners Europol, TNO, Gemeente Den Haag, PRODAFT, Politie Nederland, Global Forum on Cyber Expertise (GFCE), Cyberveilig Nederland, HackShield Future Cyber Heroes and European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO).
