Twenty-two consortia applied for co-financing of up to 200.000 Euros for their innovation project by the HSD Development Fund. Their entries range from new forensic technology to security applications using big data and serious games. Joris den Bruinen, Deputy Director of The Hague Security Delta (HSD): "We are very pleased with these entries. These are real projects in which companies, government and research institutions work together and invest to solve complex security issues. The innovations must demonstrably lead to more sales or jobs. And it is required to have a first customer in advance, with whom the project will be realized. Only then will projects be eligible for co-financing."

An assessment team of the Municipality of The Hague and HSD will now make a selection on the basis of conditions defined and communicated in advance. The Mayor and Municipal Executives of The Hague will decide before the end of this year which projects will be eligible for a financial contribution of up to 200,000 Euros.
