More Cybercrime Threats Due to Corona, but Lower Risk Perception
The outbreak of the corona crisis is an opportunity for cyber criminals. Almost immediately after the outbreak of the virus, the cyber attacks increased and the threat continues. Research by ABN AMRO and research agency MWM2 among 170 companies shows that 7 percent of companies have experienced a cyber attack related to corona. However, due to a shift in priorities, the extent to which corporate management sees cybercrime as a risk for its own organisation seems to have decreased.
