HSD Partners among Winners Computable Awards 2024
On 27 November, the winners of the Computable Awards 2024 were announced at the Conference Center Media Plaza Utrecht. Several HSD partners were among the winners. Notably, the International Cybersecurity Summer School powered by HSD was also nominated for its outstanding contributions to the cybersecurity sector, and the programme's role in developing and fostering talent within the sector.
A highlight of the evening was the win of aXite Security Tools. They won in the 'large business project' category for their work at Schiphol Airport. This award emphasizes the importance of innovation and safety within operational technology (OT). The prise was awarded for their project with Schiphol Airport, focused on the security of Low Level Control Systems (LLCS) within the baggage handling system. The result of this is the development of the AX-BOX Gatekeeper, an AI-driven security solution that protects operational systems against unauthorized access, incorrect modifications and cyber attacks.
This collaboration with Schiphol has not only led to improvement of the security of Schiphol. It also gained international recognition of the AX-BOX Gatekeeper, including approval by the TSA in the United States, where it is now available to over 450 U.S. airports.

Other HSD partners also took home awards in different categories:
- The Dutch Police won in the government project category for their “AI-driven signal detection project”, improving law enforcement's ability to identify and act on key threats.
- NCTV, NCSC & FOX-IT were honored in the cyber resilience category, for their “Cyberoefening ISIDOOR 2023”, a cybersecurity exercise held in the Netherlands, aimed at testing and enhancing the cybersecurity readiness of several organisations in the public sector.
- Kadaster took home an award in the category sustainability & CSR, for their for their innovative mapping solutions using tangible maps.
- TNO was recognised in the category partnerproject, for their collaboration on their innovative satellite instrument, which uses laser technology to transmit data back to Earth.
