India Envisions a $35 Billion Market Cyber Security & Signs MOU with City of The Hague

India, as a global IT hub, is a very promising market. Last year the Data Security Council of India (DSCI) and Nasscom launched the Cyber Security Task Force. Its aim: "to build India as a global hub for providing cyber security solutions, developing cyber security R&D plan and develop a skilled workforce of cybersecurity experts." This taskforce envisions a $35 billion market for India by 2025 relating to cyber security products and services and to create one million cyber security jobs and 1000 security startups.

 

MOU Signing & HSD

Recently the city of The Hague signed an MOU with Bengalore. Included in this MOU is a focus on cyber security and with a desire to learn from the experiences of HSD and how HSD managed to involve both the industry and academia, as well as the accelerator programmes and incubator set up for companies that want to part of the cyber security domain.

 

PIB India & Call for Participation

On December 9th the HSD organises an information meeting for partners interested in doing business in India. In recent missions several Dutch companies have already seized business opportunities as a result of these missions. Indian counterparts, like NASSCOM, the Data Security Council of India, the states of Telangana, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, have expressed their interest in HSD as well as the Dutch expertise and consider the Netherlands as one of the preferred suppliers of expertise, technology and knowledge.
