Director NCSC-NL Visits HSD Campus to Explore Cybersecurity Collaboration and Innovation

On 1 May, the Director of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC-NL), Matthijs van Amelsfort, visited Security Delta (HSD) for a comprehensive working visit focused on deepening collaboration in the field of cybersecurity and exploring innovative developments across the ecosystem. Joris den Bruinen, General Director of Security Delta (HSD), welcomed him and addressed developments and public private collaborations, such as the national cyber resilience network, Cyclotron, talent/innovation/finance issues and the the Cyber Campus/House of Cyber.

 

Demonstrating Impact and Innovation

After the conversation, Matthijs van Amelsfort was guided throught the HSD Campus, where he spoke with a number of cybersecurity businesses that are actively contributing to a more secure world and the cyber resilience of organisations. Representatives from the following innovative cybersecurity companies shared insights into their work and impact:

  • Koryak Uzan, Can YILDIZLI, and Umay Yavas Yoldar from PRODAFT showcased their cutting-edge efforts in cyber threat intelligence and proactive strategies for detecting and mitigating digital threats.
  • Eljo Haspels from CFLW Cyber Strategies outlined their mission to combat online threats through strategic interventions and advanced technological solutions.
  • Yannick Maltha, co-founder of UbiOps, demonstrated how their platform enables the secure and scalable deployment of AI models across diverse infrastructures, contributing to enhanced data protection and organisational resilience.

Working Together in Digital Forensics

Leiden University of Applied Sciences' Digital Forensics Lab was another destination on the tour. Abdul Boztas from the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI) and partime lecturer at the Leiden University of Applied Sciences explained how the lab helps to cultivate the next generation of digital forensics talent. He demonstrated the use of the international tool 'Hansken', NFI's cutting-edge forensic technology for analysing vast amounts of digital information. 

 

This visit brought to light the importance of collaboration  in addressing today's cybersecurity challenges.
