VIC 2015: The Five Finalists are Announced
How can access control become smarter and more secure? This is the topic of the Security Innovation Competition 2015, in which SMEs are challenged to come up with new, original ideas related to the theme ‘Smart Access Control’. From the 21 entries of the Security Innovation Competition 2015 five finalists have been selected:
• Science and Technology Experts Pool
• Respond
• Technolution
• ViNotion
• Ubiqu Access
The five entrants are focusing on topics such as smart cloud services, faster identification of vehicles and the application of biometric data in controlling access. The five finalists will be completing their project plans and be presenting their final results during the final day of VIC15 on the 15th of October. The winner receives a contract worth 200.000 euro in order to further develop their proposal.
The Security Innovation Competition is a way to find solutions for complex security issues. The competition is a cooperation between the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Security and Justice, the National Police and the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee.
