Partners for International Business Cybersecurity Program Publicly Announced at the RSA

After a soft launch in the Netherlands earlier this year, the participants in the Partners for International Business (PIB) Cybersecurity program have arrived in the United States. The PIB group comprised of the cybersecurity companies Audittrail, SecuredNow, Radically Open Security, Zivver, EclecticIQ, Compumatica, aXite Security Tools and SignPost Six is joining the Cybersecurity Trade mission to San Francisco (RSA) together with a delegation of 40+ cybersecurity entrepreneurs, agencies and public sector organisations from the Dutch cybersecurity cluster. Accompanied by Consul General Dirk Janssen and Ambassador at-Large for Security Policy and Cyber Nathalie Jaarsma the PIB is publicly announced at the Netherlands Cyber Security House (booth 1061) at the RSA Exhibition and Conference.

USA market potential

The partners joined forces back in December 2021 together with InnovationQuarter, Security Delta (HSD) and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and signed a covenant and action plan for a Partners for International Business Cybersecurity USA. Besides the RSA, these partners will also visit and join several conferences and missions in the coming years like International Manufacturing Technology Show (Chicago), a Fintech mission to New York and host an incoming mission to the One Conference (The Hague). In order to take advantage of the enormous market potential and its influence on the global cybersecurity market. 

The United States remains one of the largest and most dominant players in the field of cybersecurity, both in terms of market size, but also R&D and foreign investments. Competition in the USA is fierce, but the demand for cybersecurity solutions continues to grow as trends such as IoT and AI foster the need for digital protection. Therefore, structural long-term collective business development is a desirable approach. 

Unified approach

The PIB program aims to localize itself in the market and thereby acquire the required high level of trust necessary for successful export, eventually leading to better business opportunities. The Netherlands can support the USA in its ambitions by taking a unified approach with niche experts and sharing knowledge and expertise in, amongst others, securing critical infrastructure against cyber threats, protecting human privacy and securely managing data. The Dutch cyber security sector works with a range of industries focusing on the broad areas of Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington DC. For example, energy, finance, healthcare, government, infrastructure, and manufacturing. 

Roadmap Cybersecurity 2020 - 2023
The PIB Cybersecurity USA is part of the larger Roadmap Cybersecurity US 2020-2023.  The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dutch embassy and consulates, InnovationQuarter (IQ) and HSD have initiated a Roadmap in 2021 and are fully committed to assisting companies doing business in the United States. The Roadmap Cybersecurity US 2020-2023 is a “multiyear programmatic approach to cybersecurity US". By joining forces companies can enter the US cybersecurity market. The roadmap bundles existing activities aimed at the US market and supplements them with new ones. The roadmap focuses on trade promotion, innovation, knowledge sharing and acquisition. looking into topics such as IoT, threat intelligence and data protection.
