Notice: Security Innovation Competition for SMEs
From May to November 2014 the Security Innovation Competition, a cooperation between the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Security and Justice, will take place. The competition’s goal is to stimulate innovation in the security sector and is meant specifically for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The participating businesses will be challenged to find innovative security solutions. A contract worth € 200.000,- will be available for the winner and is provided by both Ministies.
Previously, this competition was known as the Defense Innovation Competition. This year’s edition is the first time that the competition is co-produced by both ministries. Therefore, different from previous’ editions, the main focus will be on dual-use solutions within the theme ‘Security Region’. The goal, the process, and the price will however remain same.
Information session: save the date!
On 22 May at 1:00 pm an information session will be held at the barracks of the Royal Military Academy in Breda, so save the date! During this session, several professionals from the Security Region will present the challenges they experience in their daily work life in order to provide a framework for the development of innovative solutions.
