Yokai Network recently became a premium partner of Security Delta (HSD). This company, founded in 2022 by Chaitanya RK and Ranjeet Sengar, was initially a cybersecurity project, focused on research and development. Yet as they were developing, it transformed into a secure collaboration and secure message distribution platform.

Today, Yokai Network serves as a distributed data exchange platform specialising in critical secure communications, offering two main products: Akira and Hermes. So, what are these products and what drives these passionate entrepreneurs to partner with HSD?

Akira and Hermes

“Yokai's core expertise lies in building distributed secure communications infrastructure with military-grade encryption," Chaitanya explains. "Our mission is to ensure data sovereignty and integrity in high-stakes environments for both enterprises and defense, which is deeply embedded in both our products: Akira and Hermes.“

“Akira is a revolutionary distributed secure data exchange platform processing over a million messages per second with super-cluster architecture," Ranjeet explains. "It's specifically engineered for secure operations, with features such as end-to-end encryption, forward secrecy, and post-compromise security. Whether it's drone swarms communicating in real-time or critical infrastructure systems exchanging sensitive data, Akira ensures secure and reliable transmission with unprecedented performance.”

"Hermes represents the future of secure collaboration," Chaitanya continues. "Hermes is built on Akira's powerful infrastructure to provide quantum-resistant and true end-to-end encrypted collaboration in the face of emerging threats . From secure team chat to classified file sharing, every piece of data is protected at rest and in transit. It's particularly vital for organisations handling sensitive projects where even metadata exposure could be catastrophic."

Their products are particularly applicable in high-stakes sectors like defense, intelligence, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure among others. In defense and intelligence applications, their platforms enable secure command and control of unmanned systems and classified information sharing across coalitions. Major telecommunications providers use their technology to offer secure managed services to government clients both internally and externally.

For public sector organisations, Hermes provides a secure collaboration platform that maintains complete data sovereignty - essential for handling sensitive information and critical communications. In critical infrastructure, the platforms enable secure incident response coordination and real-time system monitoring across distributed facilities while maintaining end-to-end encryption.

Hermes and Akira are already bearing fruit for Yokai Network: "We're in advanced discussions with multiple NATO defense ministries who recognise the need for secure distributed communications infrastructure," Ranjeet says. "We're also seeing strong interest from financial institutions and healthcare providers who need military-grade security for their internal communications. Our recent deployment at one of the world's largest telecom providers demonstrates that enterprise-grade collaboration can be both secure and user-friendly."

Collaborations and future aspirations

Yokai Network's journey has been marked by a strong desire to collaborate and grow within the sector. They have already had some impressive collaborations with several defense ministries from NATO countries and have recently deployed Hermes with a major telecommunications company.

Their partnership with HSD was established after a friend highlighted the networking and business opportunities it offers. Since the partnership, they have already attended several events organised by HSD, presenting their innovations and furthermore expressed a strong desire to connect with others in the sector.

Their main goal for the future is to find the right collaborators. They would like to learn more and improve their products together with partners who have experience in critical environments. Therefore, the focus is on defense ministries, intelligence agencies, telecommunications providers, and critical infrastructure operators who require military-grade security for their operations. As Chaitanya states: ”Our vision is to serve organisations that can't compromise on security. We're seeing defense departments and critical infrastructure operators using consumer-grade collaboration tools - this is a massive security risk. While commercial tools prioritise features and convenience, we've built security as the foundation while maintaining the seamless user experience these organisations need. The shift from consumer-grade to defense-grade collaboration tools is inevitable for these sectors.”

The importance of awareness for innovation

"The cybersecurity landscape is facing unprecedented challenges in securing critical data," Chaitanya states. "Organisations are unknowingly exposing themselves to significant risks by using collaboration tools that weren't designed for sensitive data. Traditional platforms store data in plaintext on their servers, making them vulnerable to breaches and insider threats. Unfortunately, many organisations don't realise that securing their communication infrastructure requires a fundamental shift in approach."

Yokai Network sees their products as vital solutions to these challenges. With distributed architecture supporting end-to-end encrypted manned and unmanned collaboration, their platforms help companies prioritise security without sacrificing performance or usability. "We're not just building another collaboration tool - we're developing a platform that ensures your critical communications remain private forever, with the performance to handle millions of messages per second," Ranjeet summarises.
