Introducing New HSD Premium Partner: Watchmen

Watchmen recently joined Security Delta (HSD) as a premium partner. Specialised in cybersecurity consultancy and implementation, with a strong focus on Zero Trust architectures, and secure access solutions, Watchmen helps organisations assess their current posture, define a roadmap, and implement modern security frameworks using vendor-neutral best practices. Their ambition is to be the leader in Zero Trust – not just in the Netherlands, but across Europe!

Watchmen was born out of an initiative at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce, where founder Jacky Willems was tasked with building a security team from the ground up to lead the organisation’s Zero Trust transformation. He assembled a group of top-tier engineers and architects and together they took the Chamber of Commerce from zero to a mature security posture in just two years. The synergy within the team was so strong that it became the foundation for something bigger: Watchmen. Today, Watchmen is one of the fastest-growing engineering companies in the Netherlands, employing over 80 engineers. They work on some of the most complex IT and security environments in the country, supporting organisations such as Rabobank, ABN AMRO, the Ministry of Defence, the Dutch Police, Gasunie, and KPN.

Involved in the HSD Community

Watchmen and HSD crossed paths through events and informal networks within the cybersecurity community. As they became more involved in knowledge-sharing sessions and regional conferences, it became clear that their values aligned with HSD’s mission of building a safer digital society through collaboration.

Moreover, they see HSD as a hub where public, private, and academic partners come together to tackle real-world security challenges. Becoming a premium partner felt like a natural step, as it allowed them to contribute to and benefit from a dynamic ecosystem that shares their drive for impact, innovation, and practical solutions.

Stela Staleva, Talent Manager - "The partnership gives us access to a diverse network, which is invaluable for both knowledge exchange and collaboration. It also strengthens our visibility in the Dutch cybersecurity landscape and opens doors to collaborative projects."

Enabling practical security frameworks through hands-on expertise

Watchmen provides hands-on experience with modern security frameworks like Zero Trust, and a strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into workable roadmaps for organisations. Their practical, vendor-neutral approach is a bridge between theoretical models and day-to-day implementation. Additionally, they contribute to the cluster by speaking at events and publishing insights. For example, this year they will participate at the International Cyber Security Summer School and will deliver a challenge on Zero Trust.

Collaboration

Watchmen exclusively work with large enterprise organisations that operate in highly complex, multi-vendor environments. These include major players in sectors such as finance, government, critical infrastructure, and telecommunications. Their consultants are subject-matter experts brought in to solve the most challenging security and architecture issues—typically in environments where scale, legacy systems, and a mix of technologies from different vendors all need to work together. While they occasionally support SME-sized projects, this only happens when the assignment demands deep, specialist expertise.

Watchmen is always open to new collaborations that involve high-level security issues. With their specialist expertise, especially in Zero Trust, they can add immediate value in complex environments.

If you are an engineer and you are interested in joining Watchmen's collective or you are a CISO who needs subject matter expertise to strengthen their organisation’ security posture, don’t hesitate to reach out to Stela Staleva at s.staleva@watchmen.io.
