Security Delta is Expanding: Institute For Financial Crime to Continue under the Banner of HSD

From January 2024, the Institute For Financial Crime (IFFC) will continue its activities under the banner of HSD. By uniting focus areas and constituencies, both parties expect to achieve even more impact in their commitment for a secure and resilient society with this intended decision. 

Financial crime

The Institute for Financial Crime has made its mark in recent years. It has created an active network of private parties who work together to counter financial and economic crime. As a result, the IFFC has made a significant contribution to combating fraud, corruption and money laundering.

Integrated approach

Nevertheless, the Board of the Institute For Financial Crime (IFFC) was looking for a strategic partner. This need arose from the realisation that the field of security is a multi-faceted one and that an integrated approach is required. 

Adriaan van Dorp, Chairman of the Board of IFFC: "The cooperation with Security Delta offers a unique opportunity to increase our execution power. Together we will have a broader and stronger base for initiatives against financial crime." 

Integration into HSD's foundation and organisation

As a result of this cooperation, the IFFC will cease to exist as a foundation and its activities and participants will be formally integrated into HSD’s foundation and organisation. IFFC's Operations Director Tina Colls-Vagnholm will continue her activities at HSD and Chairman Adriaan van Dorp will take a seat on HSD's Advisory Board. Both organisations are based at the HSD Campus in The Hague.

Update: Helaas zien wij af van een fusie tussen stichtingen HSD en IFFC. Vanwege een veranderende risico-inschatting en kosten/baten afwegingen, zijn we in goed overleg overeengekomen het eerdere fusie-voornemen tussen onze stichtingen nu niet door te zetten.

Vanaf januari 2024 zet Institute For Financial Crime (IFFC) haar activiteiten voort onder de vlag van HSD. Beide organisaties zetten zich actief in voor een veilige, weerbare samenleving. Met dit voorgenomen besluit verwachten we door het samenvoegen van onze aandachtsgebieden en achterban nog meer slagkracht te creëren.

Financieel economische criminaliteit

Het Institute For Financial Crime heeft zich de afgelopen jaren op de kaart gezet. Ze hebben een actief netwerk van private partijen gecreëerd die gezamenlijk optreden tegen financieel economische criminaliteit. Hierdoor heeft IFFC een significante bijdrage geleverd in de strijd tegen fraude, corruptie, witwassen en ondermijning.

Integrale benadering

Toch zocht het bestuur van Institute For Financial Crime (IFFC) naar een passende partner. Die behoefte kwam voort uit het besef dat het veiligheidsdomein complex is en een integrale benadering nodig heeft.

Adriaan van Dorp, Voorzitter van het bestuur van IFFC: “De samenwerking met Security Delta biedt een unieke kans om onze uitvoeringskracht te vergroten. Gezamenlijk hebben we een breder en sterker fundament voor initiatieven die financieel economische criminaliteit bestrijden.”

Integratie in stichting en organisatie van HSD

Deze samenwerking betekent dat IFFC als stichting ophoudt te bestaan en dat de activiteiten en participanten formeel zullen worden geïntegreerd binnen de stichting en organisatie van HSD. IFFC's operationeel directeur Tina Colls-Vagnholm zal haar taken voortzetten binnen de organisatie van HSD, en bestuursvoorzitter Adriaan van Dorp neemt plaats in de HSD Raad van Advies. Beide organisaties zijn gevestigd op de HSD Campus in Den Haag.
