Event Safety & Security Track During Volvo Ocean Race Finish Week
In June 2018, the Volvo Ocean Race will finish in The Netherlands for the first time in history. For eight days, the port of Scheveningen will be dedicated to this event. There is a lot of preparation in advance of such an event, including the safety and security measures. Which safety innovations are applied and how did they develop? What can we learn from such an event and how do we scale up innovations?
During this finish week, HSD Office together with several HSD partners organises the track Event Safety & Security on 27 June 2018. In this track, the theme of event safety & security will be approached from the triple helix perspective. How do the commercial events organisations deal with safety measures and how can they apply new security innovations? How do governmental organisations such as the municipality and the police make a public events run smoothly? In short, how do stakeholders interact? During the track three presentations will give insight in innovations in the field of Event Safety & Security. We can learn from the experience of TNO and the municipality of The Hague. In addition, the following young innovative companies will pitch their innovations in this area: SIM-CI, Ticketguard, Anti-Fraud Company, Zepcam and Eventcloud. These companies will also be present at the exhibition.
