IQCapital, the fund ran by InnovationQuarter announced that its fund received a €64 million  expansion, bringing its total size to about €140 million. The investment from the ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, and existing stakeholders, will be used to support innovative businesses in the region of South-Holland. This in turn will lead to an even more attractive investment climate for tech businesses.

Liduina Hammer, Head of Investments at InnovationQuarter commented on the extra funds: “The solutions to the large societal challenges we face in a digitalizing world cannot be found without investment in groundbreaking technologies. With these extra funds we can help scale-ups and startups reach their next phase, as well as invest in more deeptech and high-tech propositions.”

InnovationQuarter previously invested in cybersecurity companies such as Cybersprint and 'Meld Een Vermoeden', and additionally a ‘fund in fund’ investment in the Dutch Security Techfund ran by TiiN Capital. Because of this, over 25 million digital systems were protected from being hacked.
