The Cyber Kracht program is meant to increase cyber resilience and cyber awareness of small businesses in The Hague, which is why we attended The Hague Inspires! in Amare on Friday 23rd of June. During this event, organized by Economic Board The Hague and the municipality of The Hague, the city and the business community got together to look to the future of entrepreneurship. Visitors were encouraged to attend knowledge sessions with a focus on various themes, including 'Is your digital door properly locked?' by Security Delta in collaboration with the police and Chapter8.

Cyber resilience knowledge session

Different entrepreneurs took part in our knowledge sessions about cyber resilience in which we informed them about opportunities and threats in digital security, together with Pepijn Vissers from Chapter8 and Vincent Stittelaar from the police. Cyber criminals are shifting their attention to smaller companies: 69% of the self-employed have to deal with cybercrime at some point. Pepijn Vissers talked about hackers and their methods and Vincent Stittelaar addressed the importance of reporting cybercrime to the police and how they deal with these cases.

Meeting peers and get inspired

About 400 entrepreneurs came to The Hague Inspires! to meet their peers and for inspiration. During the plenary program there were inspiring 'seven minutes talks' in which ideas and visions of the future on themes in The Hague were outlined. These topics were chosen in collaboration with the aldermen of the municipality of The Hague.
