The Hague International Open Day
Curious about the goings-on in the international organisations in The Hague that are dedicated to creating a better world? On Sunday, 20 september, The Hague Bridge will once again be organising The Hague International Day, when you can take a peek behind the scenes of the International City of Peace and Justice.
The ten participating organisations are: Eurojust, the House of Europe, the International Criminal Court (ICC), the International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE HNCM), the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), the Carnegie Foundation – Peace Palace Library, and the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH). Visitors can wander through the library of the Peace Palace and hear more about the work of great legal experts like Hugo Grotius and Tobias Asser. At the Yugoslavia Tribunal you can ask a question to one of the judges. Admire the Nobel Peace Prize in the building of OPCW. Or visit the award-winning film Ida at the House of Europe in the Hofvijver.
