Time:
12:30h - 13:00h
Location:
HSD Campus
Organised by:
Security Delta (HSD) and HSD Campus

Security Delta (HSD) and the HSD Campus organise interesting Lunch & Talk sessions at the HSD Campus. These are great opportunities to meet the experts that secure our digital society, all while enjoying a delicious lunch. To stimulate knowledge sharing, experts from the HSD Community will be holding short presentations. This time we will welcome Suzanne Kalf from Living Lab Scheveningen!

This talk by Suzanne Kalf from SHIELD Living Lab Scheveningen will explore how cities can stay ahead of new safety risks, how the police and the municipality work together within SHIELD on multiple safety and security use cases, such as crowd safety management, drone detection, undermining in the harbour and locating lost children on the beach.

The moment a city thinks it understands its safety challenges, new risks are already appearing. From airspace and crowd safety to maritime monitoring, urban threats are becoming more complex. Cities collect a lot of data, but the real challenge is using it in the right way. SHIELD brings together technological innovation from the police and the municipality of The Hague to stay ahead of these risks. It turns data into clear insights that help keep the city safe.
