Dutch Blockchainmission to Singapore

Are you active in blockchain and do you have international ambitions? Then accompany the Blockchainmission to Singapore. Singapore infests to become a 'Smart Nation', a leading economy made possible through digital innovation. Blockchain is one of the technologies that plays a role in this great digitalisation.


A first FinTech-mission was organised in November 2017 from the Netherlands to Singapore. This was a succesful venture and has led to a start of a trajectory that will lead to a Partners for International Business (PIB) regarding Blockchain. During the recent months has work on an initial concept of a PIB-request. An important part in this process and the purpose of this mission is a thorough exploration of the market: where are the opportunities and demands in Singapore and where is the opening for Dutch knowledge institutions and businesses.


More attention for Blockchain


The attention for blockchain has increased strongly during the past year in Singapore. Several governmental institutions have started projects in the field of blockchain. Firstly in the financial sector, but furthermore in different sectors is there more attention for the application and opportunities of Blockchain.


Singapore FinTech Festival

From 12 until 16 November 2018, the Singapore FinTech Festival is taking place. This event has, by now, grown into one of the greatest FinTech events in the world with over 30,000 visitors. Blockchain is one of the themes this year. The Netherlands Enterprise Agency is using the Festival for inspiration and to make new contacts. At the same time, will the mission focus on but a part of the FinTech festival because not all participants on the mission are FinTech oriented.


There will be a personalised programme in which the mission will explore the market opportunities in the various sectors (financial, logistics, healthcare, security, energy) which will fit to the diverse applications that the Dutch businesses and knowledge institutions can offer.

You will receive a confirmation of participation after registration with important, additional information and a request for additional information to shape the mission further. Note: The interest in this innovationmission is substantial and the amount of spots limited. We select participants based on their connection to the goals of this mission.
